Nisaba was founded by two female engineers, we utilize science-based methodology to consult with individuals and organizations. With over 50 years combined Engineering experience in industrial manufacturing. Our change model drives performance metrics helping clients to see measurable improvements.

The Goddess Nisaba is one of the most prestigious deities in the Sumerian pantheon era. Nisaba was an innovator who recreated herself from the God of grain. She developed power and prestige along with the written word and was known as the scribe of the Gods and keeper of both divine and mortal accounts. Nisaba was revered for her knowledge and inspires women’s strength today.

About Us

Akemi serves as a partner and Executive Director of Nisaba. In this position, she provides strategic direction, business development, and consulting services on operational projects.
Akemi has a passion for both quality and service. In addition to Nisaba, Akemi serves as Board President for Gift of Adoption – Michigan Chapter and serves as Regional Technical Systems Leader for American Red Cross.
Akemi has 26+ years of engineering and leadership experience. Before joining Nisaba, she held executive level positions in industrial manufacturing organizations including, VP of Quality for Trane Technologies/ Ingersoll Rand and SVP of Quality for the Detroit Lighting Authority.

Akemi grew up in Michigan and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, and a M.S. in Technical Processes from Saginaw Valley State University.

Kimberly (Kim) serves as a partner and Operations Director of Nisaba. In this position, she provides creative direction, event management, program development, and consulting services.
Kim excels at building strong customer relationships, and Global Program Mangement Leadership. In addition to Nisaba, Kim serves on the 621 Riverine Board of Directors. She has been active in fundraising for The American Cancer Society and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Kim has 30+ years of Technical Program Management experience holding leadership positions for major OEM and Tier 1 Automotive Suppliers. Kim also served as the owner/operator of Entree Vous Troy where she let her entrepreneurial spirit shine.
Kim grew up in Michigan and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and is currently working toward obtaining her 200HR YTT Certification.
