It All Starts at Home

August is "Back to School" month for many of our children.

Here at Nisaba, we are asking parents for a favor, sit down with your child for a few minutes and explain that there is no reason to make fun of someone for any reason including race, height, weight, physical ability, appearance, neuro-ability, etc.

There's nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day. Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.

Please teach them not to exclude anyone for "being different" or financially disadvantaged.

Everyone has the same possibilities. Education starts at home.
